Start with a stable camera position
A studio support needs to hold the camera in the same position from one recording to the next. A portable kit also needs to pack down and travel comfortably. Choose for the way you record, rather than adding accessories before you know the shot.
Compare the complete setup
- Check the support’s rated capacity against the camera, lens, and attached accessories.
- Check working height, available floor or desk space, and framing while seated or standing.
- Confirm the camera connection, mounting plate, and head are compatible.
- For desk mounts, check the surface and clamp requirements before attaching equipment.
